Overview[]

The Ronin of Wrong (ザ・浪人・オブ・ロング, Za Ronin ob Rongu), or "Ronin" as he is referred to by other characters, was voiced by Patrick Sweeney and is only defeated though prayer. This isn't like most villains however, due to him not being defeated though scripture. He was in the series twice, the first time being when he almost attacked a (presumably) environmentalist group only to have the Bible-team stop him, and the second time, he manipulated Caden, as well as other kids, into not going to church, making him have two appearances, with the first appearance in 2016 and the second appearance in 2020.

His goal is to stop goodness and spread wrongdoing, hence his name.

His tactics include providing rewards for wrongdoing and using damage and danger to scare those doing good.

His favorite weapon is his dual wakizashi light-swords, which many have compared to lightsabers from Star Wars.

In the third episode of the first season, Ronin is defeated when he is spouted into the air on a water geyser from the sewer.

In the fourth episode of the fifth season, when a Boulder falls on the other end of the tree he is standing, he gets launched into the air like a catapult.

Just like most of the villains, Ronin has zero henchmen. This is suggested to be due to the fact that he stabs his trainees and that no other henchmen are willing to work with/for him.

Appearance[]

He wears a red-brown-and-grey samurai uniform that appears to be some type of dollar store costume, and perhaps one with a helmet two sizes too small for his own head. The bright red parts of his armor are even shown to glow in the dark, at least when he's in certain lighting.

In addition, if you look very carefully at his shirt's collar in certain frames, you'll find that it's designed similarly like the collar of a traditional Japanese kimono.

His skin tone, contrary to popular belief, is actually a bit of a warm olive hue, and the dark part that viewers see on his face is merely just face paint, possibly to hide his identity even further. His face was never revealed in the series, but some fans have theorized about what it might be.

Trivia[]

  • It's quite possible that he might be fluent in Japanese and English, as he said the name of his "Wrong Club" in Japanese (間違ったクルブ, or "Machigatta kurubu" as it was romanized) in one episode.
  • Historically, ronins were rogue samurai (I.E.: samurai without masters). This would make sense for Ronin since his master would've been God, and he doesn't really believe in God.
  • Despite only appearing in two episodes, he's still on the official Bibleman website's list of villains.
