Ludicrous is a secondary antagonist of the first Bibleman series. He is the sidekick of all the forms of Luxor Spawndroth and is mostly used for comic relief. He has the unique property of changing his actor, appearance, and even personality regularly between episodes.

History[]

Form 1[]

Ludicrous Banana

Ludicrous 1 enjoying a well earned snack after a long hard day of sardonic wit.

The original Ludicrous (Steve Weatherford), appearing only in Defeating the Shadow of Doubt, was by far the most intelligent iteration yet was also the least helpful. The archetypical annoying nerd, Ludicrous would often deride "Mr. Shadow" by calling him unscary and unfunny or complaining that his theatrics were unnecessary. He barely helped The Shadow of Doubt with his scheme and while the Acme Instant Minions were fighting with Bibleman and Coats, Ludicrous stood by commentating on the smoke effects while consuming a banana. This version of Ludicrous was known to often break the fourth wall.

Forms 2 and 3[]

Ludicrous (Andrew Hicks) first changes his appearance in The Fiendish Works of Dr. Fear and stays as this version in The Incredible Force of Joy. Unlike the last Ludicrous, this version is more of a teenage stoner/surfer dude and more energetic than the last. Ludicrous' third design (Bret Harrison) appears in Conquering the Wrath of Rage and Shattering the Prince of Pride. He now has wavy blond hair and sports black paint over his forehead and left face. Despite his physical change, this Ludicrous has an identical personality to his second form.

Form 4[]

In his final form (Les VanValkinburgh), he is overweight, wore a Hawaiian shirt, and acted like an idiotic man-child. He claims to be the father of Kerry Turner; However, it is ambiguous as to whether or not he is truly Cypher's father, as he is presumably a demon. The scene was a joke referencing an iconic scene from The Empire Strikes Back.

Animated Series[]

He appears in the animated series universe as the idiot comic relief sidekick to the cartoon's version of Shadow of Doubt. Here he is voiced by Scott Nichol. He's incompetent as ever but is equipped with a wand which shoots a paralysis ray. He is defeated by Logan Moore (aka "Bible Boy")
